Some may say that an upbringing smack dab in middle of the heartland instilled hard work, kindness, honesty and strength of character as my guiding principles. Others would call that self-indulgent 🙂 All agree, however, that I was an actress before I could tell you what an actress was, both as a means of personal entertainment and simply because I had to.  To watch a movie or t.v. show without immediately running off to recreate it with my own performance of every character was impossible.
It wasn’t until after a move to the mountains, a degree in education, meeting my ‘fellow creative’, emboldening husband and a move back to the heartland that I began acting in earnest in my hometown of Des Moines, Iowa. There, I grew my resume through theatrical roles in indie films like Burn and Kennedy Hill and commercial roles for the likes of Best Foods/Hellman’s and Mediacom.
My passion then took us on a whirlwind stint in Atlanta, GA to work in the ever-expanding industry in the Southeast and we now call Los Angeles, CA home after the surprising addition of “ya’ll” to my vocabulary and a better understanding of the real meaning of “traffic”. Jumping in head first to this world-class market I found a home to work on craft at The Berg Studio, roles in shows like FOX’s 9-1-1 Lone Star, and fabulous representation with Carissa Mitchell. Cannot wait for what’s to come…
